Really tasty food and drinks were awesome. Takes a while to get drinks (understanding it was dinner time) but solid old fashioned and the pork chop was out of this world.
Papa Joe's is an excellent italian restaurant in akron. With very flavorful and well balanced pasta. The pasta entrees do come with salad and bread. Which is a lovely addition and does make the $20 to $30 entrees feel like a better value. I also appreciate that the lasagna here does not have ricotta in it its the traditional bechamel sauce. The wine selection is large and encompassing you will definitely find something you like. The restaurant is very quite easy to talk in and a wonderful atmosphere. Service is excellent and well paced. The biggest downside is that the appetizers are over priced for there size. They are not a shareable size even though they seemed to be priced that way. I would suggest skipping the apps because of that. They are good just not worth the price. Save that money to get a nicer entrée. Parking here is easy there is a parking lot just make sure to park at the correct entrance there are 2 separate connected establishments here there is a wine shop and then the restaurant. Just make sure to read the signs carefully before entering they are not the same. But as far as fine dining italian in akron you will not go wrong here.
The food is very good & the service is great. The Chicken Francais is delicious but it's not worth the price in my opinion. I wouldn't order it again but I'll try something else next time. White French dressing is the best anywhere but side salads are skimpy. Rolls are yummy. Dessert choices are plentiful & the cheese wedges are very tasty.
Great food, great ambiance and extremely friendly staff. We tried this for the first time and it did not disappoint. The menu is large and has a lot to offer for all kinds of diets. A must visit for locals and anyone traveling to Ohio to visit.
When we first arrived a guy working there wearing in Hawaiian shirt greeted us and was rude. I almost walked out. My husband talked me into staying. When our waitress Whitney arrived she turned our whole night around. She was an absolute delight. Our food was amazing as well.
Hospitality, Service and Atmosphere a 10. A lot of people like their tomato gravy/sauce on the sweet side, but I'm not one of them. However, it was fresh and bright. I had pasta marinara and husband had Lasagna. He said it's the best he's ever had. I thought the Tiramasu was the best I've ever had.
Wonderful, friendly and clean atmosphere. We dined today and enjoyed the thanksgiving menu. We ordered the sirloin with whipped potatoes, turkey dinner, stuffed cod and chicken parm. Service was quick and timely. Garden salads delicious. Steak was cooked perfectly and flavorful. Turkey dinner just enough and the cranberry sauce was divine. The cod was cooked to perfection and stuffed crab was good. Crab stuffing had bigger chunks of crab which was h expected as we thought it would be more fine than chunks nonetheless the stuffing was delicious. We enjoyed the simplified holiday menu. They also have options for the “little turkeys” who are dining today. Over all 10/10 and would return for another holiday meal. Our server was efficient, polite and friendly. They also gave a market with desserts, salads, subs, soup, side dishes and salad dressings.
